I’ve been asked to recommend plants and good gardening books. In their book, Designing with Plants, by Piet Oudolf with Noel Kingsbury, six forms that are basic to flower compositions are identified. It’s really influenced my approach to gardening. If you’re not a gardener you can just appreciate it for the wonderful photographs, and help stave off your winter blues.
